Havengore Bridge: Re-opening to Marine Traffic (11.07.20)

QinetiQ is delighted to announce that Havengore Bridge will return to full service on Saturday 11 July 2020.

The bridge has undergone a comprehensive refurbishment of the mechanical, hydraulic and electrical components and the control system has been upgraded. This improvement work represents a significant investment from the Ministry of Defence (MOD), to modernise and bring greater resilience to the mechanism.

The bridge is operated in accordance with MOD Byelaws and marine traffic can pass two hours either side of high tide, during daylight hours when the Range is not active. You can contact the Bridgekeeper when the bridge is staffed (times as above), on 01702 383436 or VHF Channel 72.
